  • What are Carefree Quechee Vacations Office Hours?

    Our office hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, with weekends and holidays by appointment only. For after hour rental issues or emergencies, please call 802-295-9500 x 9 to get in contact with a member of our team.

  • Where do I check-in and pick-up keys?

    Please see our arrival instructions page for a detailed map of our office location. We have moved offices! Please come to our new office, which is located at 176 Waterman Hill Rd. Quechee, VT 05059. As you come into Quechee on Route 4, you will see a flashing yellow caution light. Turn north down Waterman Hill Road (towards the Quechee Covered Bridge) and take your second right at the white “Farmhouse” office suite sign into the gravel parking area. At the end of the parking area, a red brick pathway leads up to a yellow farmhouse building with a wrap around porch. This building has multiple office suites, with Carefree Quechee Vacations’ office located in suite #1 right in front of the top of the stairs. Your arrival packet is available for pick up in the white drop box next to the front door after 3:00pm.

  • What happens if I arrive after office hours?!

    All guests will come to our office to pick up arrival packet containing the maps, keys, wifi login information and other area information pertinent to the rental. The arrival packet will have the guest name on the front and can be picked up from the drop box located next to the front office door anytime after 3:00pm. The packet will remain in this location for after office hour arrivals as well, allowing the guest to check in at their convenience.

  • What is in the packet?

    The outside of the packet shows your name and arrival date. Inside is another envelope with the key to the rental and a map showing the route to the unit. In addition, we have included check-in and check-out information as well as Quechee Club and local attraction information. All of our vacation rental homes are equipped with Wi-Fi internet access. The sign-on information highlighted in yellow on the packet.

  • Where can I find the WiFi Information for my unit?

    Wifi is equipped in all of our rental properties. The username and login information is highlighted in yellow on your arrival packet.

  • What are check-in/ check-out times?

    Check-in time is 3PM on arrival date and check-out time is 10AM on the date of departure. This allows us to clean and inspect each unit before guest arrival and ensure the most pleasant accommodations.

  • My GPS says the address is invalid! What do I do?

    Google Maps and your GPS may not recognize Quechee as a proper town, as it is a village in the town of Hartford. If this occurs when you input the address to our office or to the rental unit, try using the town name and zip code “Hartford, 05001” in place of “Quechee, 05059” and it should correct the address.

  • What do I need to bring?

    Carefree Quechee Vacations uses a professional linen service for sheets & towels for each rental. Starting supplies of toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning soaps are also provided. In addition, the kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking/eating needs with the exception of consumables such as cling wrap, tin foil, garbage bags, sandwich bags, napkins, and spices/cooking oils. CQV does not supply personal hygiene items. If you wish, bring those items that are special to you. Please note that firewood for homes with wood burning fireplaces is not included with rental. Guests may bring their own firewood, or CQV can recommend some locations for purchase locally. Any firewood that is on the premises and used by the guest must be replaced by the guests upon completion of the rental.

  • May I bring a pet?

    Only in an approved accommodation. Unfortunately, the bylaws of some of the condominium associations exclude pets for guests and renters. Please inquire for a list of approved accommodations. There are several fine kennels in the surrounding area that will board your pet. If you have rented a pet-approved accommodation, a pet version of our contract will be sent to you where we ask you to provide the: name, age, approximately weight, and breed of the pet(s) for our rental records.   • When is the deposit and final payment due for my stay?

    At the time of booking a 25% deposit is required with a valid credit card on file. This deposit is applied towards the total balance of your stay, with the remaining balance due 45 days prior to arrival. A reminder email to send the final balance is sent prior to the 45 day mark, however we recommend that guests also add this to a personal calendar if booking a reservation far in advanced.

  • Can I pay by Credit Card?

    Credit cards are required to guarantee your reservation, however credit card payments for final payments will be subject to a 3% processing fee. You can avoid this fee by either sending a check to our mailing address: Carefree Quechee Vacations, PO Box 1226, Quechee, VT 05059, or calling our office at 802-295-9500 and we can process an e-check at no charge. If we do not receive a check by mail (or a call with e-check payment information) the balance will be charged to your credit card on file with processing fee. This information will also be provided on your contract sent at time of booking.

  • How do I make an e-check payment?

    An e-check payment is processed similarly to physical check, without dealing with postage! Simply call our office at 802-295-9500 and we can take the payment over the phone. For this we will need the checking account information (both names if joint account), routing number for the bank, and checking account number. The payment will process within 3-5 business days as a standard check would. E-check payments also offer the security of credit card payments in that once its input your information is secured.

  • Does my rental include access to the Quechee Club?

    The majority of our rental inventory consists of QLLA (Quechee Lakes Landowners Assocation) properties (excluded properties are explicitly stated in the property description on the individual property page). This means that with rental of one of these homes, guests have the option to purchase amenity access to the private country club, the Quechee Club, and its amenities. Amenity access is not included with the cost of rental and must be set up through the Quechee Club separately.

  • How do I set up access to The Quechee Club’s amenities?

    Through rental of QLLA property you are able to purchase access to the Quechee Club. Rates and amenities are specific to the group dynamic and must be set up with the Quechee Club directly.   • Does Carefree Quechee Vacations provide cribs?

    We do not. If convenient for your travels, we highly recommend guests bring a portable crib or pack and play for their stay. Carefree Quechee Vacations also partners with two local concierge services: InjoyVermont (1-844-GO-INJOY (464-6569) or Concierge@InjoyVermont.com ) and My Vermont Concierge ((802)238-5580 or myvermontconcierge@gmail.com ) who may assist you with outfitting the home for your stay.

  • How do I get a package or mail delivered to me during my rental?

    The home address listed on your contract and in your arrival information e-mail details the specific address to the home, and condo number if applicable. UPS and FedEx will deliver packages to the front door. Mail sent by USPS can only be made if you set up a P.O. box for the term of your stay. For short-term stays in need of USPS mail, please address mail to you in care of General Delivery, Quechee, Vermont 05059. You will need to pick up this mail in person at the Quechee USPS Office located at 91 Village Green, Quechee, VT 05059. Should you require a post office box during your stay in Quechee, you may obtain one by writing c/o Postmaster, Quechee, VT 05059.

  • What is the difference between Airbnb / VRBO / Homeaway / Carefree Quechee Vacations?

    Airbnb, VRBO, and HomeAway are all third party distribution channels. We use these platforms to list our properties for a greater outreach so more people can find and experience the place we have all come to love - Quechee, Vermont! Carefree Quechee Vacations is local Quechee-based property management company who manages the rentals of these homes.

  • What is the difference between booking on Carefree Quechee Vacations website versus one of the above booking platforms?

    There are no booking fees for using Carefree Quechee Vacations site and you are communicating with our friendly team who know the ins and outs of Quechee and these properties. Airbnb/VRBO/HomeAway all charge a fee for utilizing their platforms to book your stay, even though the remainder of the communication for your stay will still remain with our Carefree Quechee Vacations team of local experts.
