When temperatures drop and the snow begins to fall, some travelers head for warmer locales while others bundle up and head for destinations that highlight the great and decidedly wintery outdoors. If you find yourself in the latter category, setting your sights on a trip to Quechee, Vermont is bound to inspire, particularly if you have a passion for downhill fun. This part of the state is known and loved for its many appealing ski resorts that cater to winter sports enthusiasts of all types. Among them, the Quechee Ski Area stands out as a favorite amongst new skiers and those looking for a family-friendly approach to skiing their way to winter fun.

More to Love and Enjoy in Quechee

The Quechee Club is an iconic stop in the Quechee area and it’s here that ski enthusiasts will find access to the Quechee Ski Area in the winter. The Quechee Ski Area is smaller than many of the surrounding resorts, making it an ideal option for those who are just learning the techniques required to hit the slopes, or families traveling with skiers of varying ages and abilities. In addition to inviting slopes, a stop at the Quechee Ski Area provides outlets for cross country skiing and uphill winter activities too.

2020/2021 Ski Season Regulations

With the arrival of Covid-19 on the global scene, the team at the Quechee Ski Area has implemented new rules and regulations to protect the safety and health of both visitors and on-site staff this year. During the 2020/2021 ski season, face masks will be required to be worn at all times in order to prevent the spread of germs. Both slope and lift capacity will be reduced significantly so that staff can enforce social distancing guidelines and provide for a fun time for those who visit in the name of winter fun. While these new rules are specific to current health recommendations, standard regulations are still in place at the Quechee Ski Area including skiers needing to stick to designated trails and pets only being allowed on section 5 hiking trails in the winter months. The buddy system is encouraged at all times at the Quechee Ski Area.
